Rescue surplus food from local kitchens, deliver it to programs that need it, and log confirmed service hours on the WPS-endorsed platform.
What you will actually do: open the GreenSteam directory, pick a nearby food source (bakery, café, grocer, or dining hall) and a donation program that can take the food (food bank, pantry, shelter, or community fridge). Message both, agree on a pickup time, collect the surplus, deliver it, then log the rescue with photos. Confirmed hours come from that log — email app.greensteam@gmail.com from your school inbox with your full name, GreenSteam username, which entry, and the hours you want. What to bring: clean reusable totes or a sturdy box, closed-toe shoes, and a charged phone for photos and the log. If your school requires a parent or guardian for off-campus service, bring them. Where to meet: at the food source listed in the directory. Deliver to the program you arranged with. GreenSteam is the directory and the hours record, not a supervised meetup — confirm the exact address and time with the listing before you go.
